ordering & earlier reservations

orders are open: PHNTM One is available for made-to-order purchase at $799 plus applicable tax. Check availability and order. International orders are available by shipping quote. The shipping, cancellation, return and warranty terms below apply.
earlier reservations: An earlier free reservation is not an order and never becomes a charge automatically. You decide whether to purchase. No deposit or payment was taken for a free reservation.
leaving the list: Email support@phntmcore.com to leave an earlier reservation list or a waitlist. The data terms below continue to apply.

01 / SHIPPING

Made to order · 7–10 business days

PHNTM One is made to order. It ships within 7–10 business days after payment. Every device is assembled, burned in for at least 24 hours, and tested before it leaves — built to order, not pulled from a shelf. Shipping is free within the United States, and you get a tracking number by email the day it ships. "Ships within" means it leaves here in that window; carrier transit time is on top. International orders are available by quote, subject to delivery availability.

Orders shipping outside the US are subject to shipping charges. Request an international shipping quote with your country, city, postal code, and number of units. We confirm whether we can ship to your destination, the shipping charge, and the power supply before you pay. The standard online checkout is for US delivery with free US shipping.

Import duties, taxes, and customs or carrier clearance fees may also apply. Your quote will explain which costs you pay and whether they are collected with payment or separately on arrival. International transit and customs clearance take additional time; we do not promise a delivery date before confirming your destination.

02 / CANCELLATION

Any time before it ships, full refund

Changed your mind? Email me with your order number any time before your unit ships and you get a full refund to the original payment method — no restocking fee, no questions. If production ever runs past the 7–10 business day window, you'll hear from me before the window closes with a new date, and the same offer stands: wait, or take a full refund. After the unit ships, the return policy below applies.

03 / RETURNS

30 days, full refund

If PHNTM One isn't for you, email me within 30 days of delivery for a return. Send the unit back in working condition and you get a full refund of the purchase price; return shipping is on you. Before it's ever resold, a returned unit is fully wiped and re-flashed — and remember, what you said in Private mode only ever lived on the device, so wiping it removes it.

04 / WARRANTY

1 year, hardware

A 1-year limited warranty covers hardware defects — if the device fails under normal use, we repair or replace it. It doesn't cover drops, spills, or modifications gone wrong; that said, tinkering is part of the point, so SSHing in and changing software never voids anything. Support is by email, from the person who built your unit.

price

$799 USD, one-time. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. No subscription, ever.

made to order

Your payment reserves a production slot in the current batch. Production runs in small, numbered batches; when a batch is full, ordering closes until the next opens.

ship window

Ships within 7–10 business days after payment (US business days, excluding federal holidays). If we cannot meet it we tell you before it ends and you may cancel for a full refund.

taxes

Any sales tax due is shown at checkout before you pay. If none is shown, none was charged; you are responsible for any use tax your state requires.

cancel

Full refund any time before shipment. After delivery, 30-day returns as above.

warranty

1-year limited hardware warranty as above. Software is readable and yours to change; changing it does not void the warranty.

disputes

Email first — a person will fix it. Anything unresolved is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Kansas.

checkout

Handled entirely by Stripe — card, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Our server creates the checkout with the product and price fixed; your browser cannot change them.

Goes to Stripe, never to us — we never see or store card numbers

order record

We keep your name, email, phone (if given), shipping address, amount paid, and order status in our own order database (Cloudflare, US) so we can build, ship, and support your unit. Stripe keeps the payment record. When an order is paid, refunded or disputed, its details (name, email and, for paid orders, phone, shipping address and amount, plus Stripe reference numbers) are also emailed to the builder through Formspree, an email-forwarding service, so nothing is missed. Kept for the life of the warranty plus what tax law requires; email to ask what we hold or to have it removed after that.

your address

Used to ship your unit and honor your warranty. The order database and paid-order alerts above also contain your shipping address; the carrier receives it for delivery. It is not sold.

reservations & waitlists

If you previously reserved a PHNTM One or join the PHNTM Umbra waitlist we keep your email, the optional note and the sign-up time in our own database (Cloudflare, US), with a private backup on our own hardware, with the thank-you email delivered through Google Workspace as described below. We also note which form you used (home page, order page or the Umbra page) and why (reservation or interest list). The builder sends a short thank-you from support@phntmcore.com after your new signup is recorded, subject to the delivery queue and provider acceptance, delivered through our Google Workspace mailbox (Google, US), then one email when ordering opens, plus occasional build updates (Umbra), each with a way to opt out. Signing up is not consent to any other marketing. Never sold. Google Workspace processes the thank-you email recipient; operator reservation alerts omit the address and note. To stop abuse, a salted one-way hash of your IP address sits in a temporary rate-limit counter, never with your email; the IP itself is never stored. The list is deleted after launch, or your entry sooner: email support@phntmcore.com and it is deleted from the live list right away, and backup copies age out within 30 days.

this website

Two third-party scripts. The first is a Google Ads tag (gtag.js) loads on every page, sets Google cookies, and reports page visits and checkout conversions to Google so we can measure our ads. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland see a choice first, and the tag stores nothing for them until they accept (Google Consent Mode). The second is Cloudflare Web Analytics, from the company that already serves this site: it counts visits in aggregate (the page, where you came from, browser type, country and load time), sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. The guided demo is hosted separately. Reservation thank-you emails use Google Workspace, and commerce alerts use Formspree as described above. Beyond that we count page views and clicks in aggregate on our own server — one number per day per event, nothing that identifies you. Your conversations and memories never touch this website.
