Smart home · planned 1.0

Your planned home assistant. Stays in your house.

Planned PHNTM One 1.0 capability, not yet release-verified. The planned integration would control your lights, plugs, scenes and thermostat through the Home Assistant you already run, over your own network. The bridge would run locally; connected equipment can have its own cloud dependencies.

Planned control scope

Say it, type it, or send it from your phone.

The lights, switches, scenes and thermostats you allow it to control, by the names you gave them in Home Assistant.

lights

Lights

"Turn on the porch light." "Living room to forty percent." "Lights off downstairs."

plugs & switches

Plugs and switches

The kettle, the lamp, the Christmas tree: on or off, by name.

climate

Thermostat

"Set the heat to 68." "Turn the heating down two degrees."

scenes

Scenes

The planned integration would run your Home Assistant "Movie night" scene: three lamps dimmed at once.

confirm

Locks and garage doors

Anything that can let someone in waits for a tap on the screen before it moves.

allowlist

Only what you allow

The planned allowlist would limit control to the devices and scenes you tick during setup. Everything else in your Home Assistant would stay outside that scope.

Planned local command path

From your mouth to your lamp, and nowhere else.

Your voice is turned into text on PHNTM One. In the planned integration, the command would go from PHNTM One to your Home Assistant over your local network. Nothing passes through our servers, because we don't have any.

Planned setup

Three steps, on the screen.

1

Point it at your hub

Once release-verified, open ≡ › Home and type your Home Assistant's address.

2

Paste a token

Create a long-lived access token in your Home Assistant profile and paste it in. It stays on the device.

3

Choose what it can touch

Tick the devices and scenes it may control. Locks and garage doors always ask for a confirmation tap.

Good to know

The honest part.

You need Home Assistant

PHNTM One is the voice and the screen, not the hub. The planned integration uses the Home Assistant you run; it would not replace it or pair with bulbs directly.

Tap-to-talk, still

The planned bridge would use the assistant controls. Current local wake conversations do not have smart-home action tools.

Quick, not instant

Simple commands are understood without the model and act quickly; unusual phrasing goes to the local model and takes longer.
